WHERE IDEAS TAKE SHAPE.
Our design team is a collective of visionary thinkers and creators, driven by a passion to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible. From architecture to interiors, our in-house designers collaborate closely to craft spaces that are both innovative and distinctive.
We combine bold creativity with practical expertise, ensuring every project stands out while remaining functional and thoughtfully designed. With advanced 3D imaging, rendering, and drafting, we bring concepts to life long before construction begins.
DESIGN
WHERE VISION BECOME REALITY.
Our build team consists of dedicated craftsmen and project managers with decades of collective experience. With a wealth of knowledge and a hands-on approach, our builders bring precision, creativity, and care to every phase of construction.
With a fleet of mobile workshops, our team builds directly on site, bringing the tools, materials, and expertise needed to execute each project with precision. This flexibility allows us to maintain the same level of craftsmanship and quality wherever we work.
We excel at problem-solving in the field, anticipating challenges, refining details, and making decisions that ensure every project is durable, safe, and built to last. From foundation to finish, our focus is on creating spaces that are not only beautiful but timeless.
BUILD
Based in Portland, we have completed projects in California, Washington, Idaho, and Utah, with the ability to mobilize nationwide for the right project.

CHIP DUGGAN -
Owner
Chip Duggan is the founder of Liminal Shift, a company dedicated to creating spaces that are both functional and deeply personal. Raised in New England, he developed an early appreciation for traditional craftsmanship, which continues to guide his work. With a background in art, film, and philosophy, Chip has spent decades exploring creative expression through sculptures, murals, installations, and documentary work, shaping a thoughtful, practical approach to design and construction.
After moving west, he refined his skills alongside a master cabinet maker, learning the precision and attention to detail that defines fine finish work. Over the years, he has built projects across the country, gaining experience in diverse climates, styles and construction methods. His hands-on work in creative and experimental spaces, from designing interactive makerspaces to building in visionary communities, has given him a deep understanding of spatial flow, materials, and how thoughtful design enhances both function and experience
GABRIEL WHITLATCH -
Lead Designer
Gabriel, an honest, thorough, and dry-humored team member graduated from Portland Community College. His initial interest in the industry stemmed from working his first full-time job for a contractor on the Oregon coast. DAVID KLEIN -
Project Manager & Designer
David, a contemplative, curious, and lighthearted individual graduated from Portland Community College with a degree in Architectural Design and Drafting. On an average day, David works on 3D renderings, creating permit and construction documents, and assisting with the design process. His love for Architecture began as a kid growing up in the house his parents designed and built.
David’s role is essential in communicating ideas and details with builders, clients, and the city so everyone is clear on the project scope. David enjoys gardening and trying to push the limits of what can be grown. He is always searching out cactus and succulents that might survive the winter in his garden and is slowly learning to accept what wants to grow in Portland. If not gardening he is probably exploring the city, walking around different neighborhoods admiring gardens, architecture and keeping an eye out for cats that want some head scratches.
